IPL match at Eden Gardens in Kolkata sees protesters demand DA dues

Government employees demanding their outstanding Dearness Allowance (DA) have taken their protest to Delhi's Jantar Mantar after months of agitation.

The demand for DA payment has now spilled over into the sports arena, with protesters carrying placards and chanting slogans during an IPL match at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Monday. The protesters called on the state government to pay their DA arrears.

The agitation comes amid ongoing negotiations between the government and employee unions over the payment of DA. The government has faced criticism for its handling of the situation and its failure to pay employees their dues on time.

The situation remains tense, with protesters threatening to escalate their agitation if their demands are not met.
